About the role
As Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of allocated HVAC and Mechanical Services projects from start to finish. You'll be the key link between Condair, our clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams - making sure projects are planned well, delivered safely, stay on track and completed to a high standard. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in both the big picture and the detail. You'll spend time on the site, working closely with our installers, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and working directly with clients and project stakeholders to keep things moving.
Key responsibilities
Taking end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of allocated HVAC and Mechanical Services projects
Reviewing project scope, quotations, drawings, specifications and contract requirements
Planning and coordinating labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontractors
Managing project programmes and variations
Building strong relationships with clients, main contractors, consultants and suppliers
Coordinating with other trades and services to resolve clashes and project issues
Reviewing drawings and specifications and identifying discrepancies or potential problems
Managing electrical, controls and other specialist subcontractors
Attending site meetings and conducting site inspections as required
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Condair's health and safety requirements
About you
Proven experience in HVAC, Mechanical Services, construction or building services/contract management
Good understanding of commercial project delivery
Experience coordinating trades, subcontractors and suppliers
Confidence reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications and project documentation
Experience managing variations, client requirements and project issues
A strong understanding of health and safety within a construction or site environment
A current New Zealand driver's licence
