Mechanical Engineer
Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist aviation engineering company in Taupō. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong mechanical skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship. Aviation experience is an advantage, but we're also interested in skilled engineers from other mechanical backgrounds.

Pay rate: $42.50–$49 per hour + weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete effective repairs
- Assemble, inspect and maintain mechanical components and equipment
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
- Complete mechanical adjustments, testing and inspections
- Use engineering tools and equipment safely and accurately
- Follow relevant safety procedures and quality standards within an aviation engineering environment
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualification — essential
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance or servicing
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Previous aviation industry experience is advantageous
- Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety
