Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 DOE + Bonus + Hybrid Working

A well-established accountancy practice in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who enjoys building client relationships, managing a portfolio, and providing trusted business advice to owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you'll work closely with Managers and Partners, taking responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients while supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud accounting solutions.
Supporting clients with business planning and financial reporting requirements.
Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and advice.
Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value.
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching and support.

About You
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
Strong accounts preparation experience.
Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
A commercial mindset with a passion for delivering excellent client service.
