About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Motorcycle Sales & Parts Consultant to join our team at Harley-Davidson Feilding. This is a full-time position based in Feilding, Manawatu, offering an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic motorcycle industry. As a Sales & Parts Consultant, you will be the face of our dealership, driving sales across both new and pre-owned motorcycles whilst also assisting in our parts and accessories division. This role is crucial to our business success and directly impacts customer satisfaction and revenue growth. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your product knowledge, sales acumen, and passion for motorcycles will be valued and rewarded.
What you'll be doing
Generate sales enquiries and convert leads into completed motorcycle sales transactions through effective consultative selling techniques
Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers regarding new and pre-owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles
Manage the full sales cycle, including test rides, financing options, and after-sales support
Identify customer needs and tailor solutions that enhance their riding experience
Process parts and accessories orders, providing customers with technical advice on fitment and compatibility
Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer details, and inventory management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals
Collaborate with service and technical teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators
Attend training sessions to remain current with Harley-Davidson models and features
Participate in dealership promotions, events, and community engagement activities
Tuesday - Saturday working week, 35-40 hrs per week.
What we're looking for
Proven track record in sales, ideally within automotive, motorcycles, or retail environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer types
Passion for motorcycles and genuine enthusiasm for the Harley-Davidson brand
Self-motivated with a results-driven mentality and ability to work towards and exceed sales targets
Sound knowledge of sales techniques and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer objections professionally
Attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative capabilities
Full Car and Motorcycle licence
Previous motorcycle industry experience or product knowledge would be advantageous
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
