The Greater Philadelphia Chamber (The Chamber) brings area businesses and civic leaders together to amplify the impact of business in the region, advocate for a competitive business climate and grow a vibrant and diverse business community in order to achieve our vision: The Greater Philadelphia Region is a top global destination for business and a leader in inclusive growth.

About This Role

The Chamber is in an active period of growth and organizational investment. The Director of Business Intelligence is a new role within the newly formed Member Experience & Growth (ME&G) unit, which works to accelerate growth for small, mid-market, and diverse-owned businesses across Greater Philadelphia. This person will build the unit’s data function from the ground up, ensuring programming and partnerships are grounded in a clear understanding of who our members are, what they need, whether our offerings are working, and where to invest next. The role also supports organization-wide performance measurement and data infrastructure across the Chamber and the Greater Philadelphia Growth Partnership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

MEMBER EXPERIENCE & GROWTH — DATA PARTNERSHIP (PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY)

  • Build and maintain member data infrastructure that profiles members by size, sector, stage, geography, and diversity status, so programming decisions are grounded in evidence.
  • Design dashboards tracking program participation, engagement, and outcomes, including peer cohorts, mentorship, and partnership activations.
  • Provide pre- and post-program analysis that identifies what to scale, refine, or discontinue.
  • Develop audience segmentation models that support program targeting, cohort and mentor matching, and partnership activations.
  • Measure partnership outcomes against agreed KPIs and report on ME&G’s ecosystem impact, including businesses served, capital connected, procurement introductions, and cohort and mentor outcomes.

ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & DATA INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Contribute to the unified Chamber and Growth Partnership KPI dashboard, quarterly performance reviews, and the annual Impact Report.
  • Establish data governance standards (definitions, access controls, quality controls) to create a single source of truth across CRM, EMS, and analytics platforms, in partnership with IT and Marketing.
  • Partner with the Research Hub and Economist on data infrastructure such as GIS tooling, pipelines, and dashboard publishing, while Research retains ownership of analysis and published economic content.
  • Partner with the marketing team to establish consistent KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting cadences across the Chamber and Growth Partnership brands.
  • Support competitive intelligence and benchmarking, evaluate and recommend tools for scaling data needs, and document all methodologies, dashboard logic, and pipelines.
