The Assistant Director of Golf helps manage the day-to-day golf operations, player services, and staff at Downingtown Country Club.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operations & Tee Sheets: Manage tee times, check-ins, pace of play, and daily opening/closing procedures.
- Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and oversee golf shop attendants, cart staff, and outside operations.
- Tournaments & Events: Working with the Director of Golf on the tournament organization, printing tournament reports, making sure the tournament plan is in place before the event, following through on all aspects of customer service during the event and finish the event with tournament scoring and results.
- Customer Service & Instruction: Represent Ron Jaworski Golf in a professional and respective manner. Putting the guest’s questions and concerns first and following through on all issues to make sure they are resolved.
- Merchandise & Inventory: Support the golf shop with inventory management, apparel/equipment selection, and sales.
Qualifications:
- PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) membership is preferred.
- Ability to provide high-level golf instruction to players of all skill levels.
- Experience in golf course retail, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Proficiency in golf-related software and technology for scheduling and tee time management. Handle tee sheet reservations with Lightspeed.
Working Conditions:
- Employee must be able to lift/handle up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
- Work weekends and holidays
- Physical activity including long periods of standing, walking, bending,
- Fast paced high traffic areas with a moderate to loud noise level
