About the role
We’re seeking motivated Site Engineers across Civil, Marine and Wharf Structures to support the delivery of an exciting marine infrastructure project in the Mid West region of Western Australia, on a FIFO 2:1 roster.

Depending on your area of expertise, you’ll contribute to the delivery of civil works, marine construction activities or wharf structural works. Working closely with the Construction Manager, supervisors, subcontractors and project teams, you’ll play a key role in coordinating site activities, resolving technical issues and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and schedules.

This is an opportunity to apply your engineering skills to complex infrastructure works, gain valuable project experience and contribute to a collaborative team focused on safe, high-quality delivery.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate site engineering activities within your discipline, whether civil, marine or wharf structures, interpreting drawings and resolving technical issues to support construction delivery.
  • Implement quality requirements, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspections, testing and quality documentation.
  • Monitor construction progress, costs and schedules, identifying and escalating risks or deviations.
  • Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, work packages and progress claims.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with project procedures, environmental requirements and the McConnell Dowell Management System.

Don’t tick all the boxes? If you don’t meet every requirement but have relevant experience or transferable skills, we encourage you to apply. You may be a great fit for this role or other opportunities within McConnell Dowell.

What will you bring?
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related discipline.
  • Ideally, at least two years’ experience in a construction or engineering environment with experience relevant to civil works, marine construction or wharf structures highly regarded.
  • A sound understanding of construction safety, quality assurance and engineering documentation.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence and White Card.

What’s in it for you?
  • The opportunity to contribute to an exciting marine infrastructure project in WA’s Mid West.
  • A FIFO 2:1 roster, offering a structured work and time-off cycle.
  • Hands-on experience across site engineering, construction delivery and quality management.
  • Career development opportunities within a leading engineering and construction business.
