Trade Xtra is a well-established, family-owned supplier to the trades, with nearly 20 years of service to painters, plasterers, coatings applicators, waterproofers and marine customers. We run trade shops in Warkworth and Albany, and deliver to site from our own vans. Our customers choose us because we know our products and look after them.
We’re looking for a full-time team member to join our Warkworth trade shop, where you’ll be the face of the business for our local trade customers.
About the role
Serve trade customers at the counter and by phone, giving clear advice on products and alternatives
Answer calls and put customers through to the right person
Process orders, collections and returns
Pick and pack orders, receive stock and keep shelves stocked and tidy
Take part in regular stock takes
Work closely with our reps, the warehouse and the office team so customers get what they need, when they need it
Hours
Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. Full time, permanent.
About you
Product knowledge from a trade background (painting, plastering, coatings or similar) would be a real advantage, but we’ll also consider people with strong trade or retail counter experience
Confident talking to tradespeople and happy picking up product knowledge quickly
Friendly, reliable and organised, with a customer-first attitude
Comfortable with physical work, including lifting stock
Good with computers and order systems
A full New Zealand driver licence preferred.
