About the role
We seek a Learning Assistant (Teacher Aide) to work with students with differing needs in Years 1 – 8 to support learning and contribute positively to our school community.
This is a fixed-term, term-time only position for the 2027 school year, commencing on 1 February 2027. Hours of work (approximately 15 - 27 per week during school hours) will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Employment Agreement: Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement 2026 - 2028; Teacher Aide Grade B/C, based on skills, experience and qualifications.
About you
This position could involve working with small groups and/or individuals. The successful candidate joining our Learning Support Team will:
be a flexible and adaptable team player
have an engaging manner when dealing with staff, students, and the community
be self-motivated and organised
be willing to respond to a range of duties
have a desire to upskill
be genuinely enthusiastic about working with young people
have the legal right to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand
