Join Our Small, Mighty Team at Canteros

Are you the kind of person who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes pride in getting the details right and loves being part of a close-knit team? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

For more than 11 years, Canteros Limited has operated a nationwide retail and wholesale business specialising in cigars, pipe tobacco and related products. We are seeking a customer-focused team member to join our small business and assist customers both in-store and online.

We're looking for a Customer Service Champion to join our friendly team. Working in a small team, every person plays an important role, so we're seeking someone who is reliable, positive, adaptable and happy to roll up their sleeves wherever needed.

What's the Role Like?

No two days are exactly the same.

One minute you might be helping a customer in-store, the next you're processing online orders, answering customer enquiries, or preparing parcels for courier collection.

This role combines frontline retail customer service, online order fulfilment, and general support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and likes to stay busy.

Working alongside a small and supportive team, you'll help ensure every customer enjoys a premium experience from the moment they contact us through to receiving their order.

Hours

This is a full time position with flexible hours that can work around the right person.

You will need to be available for:

  • Standard shifts (9am to 5pm) and late shifts (10am to 6pm)

  • At least two Saturday shifts (9am to 2pm) per month

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing friendly and professional customer service in our retail store

  • Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and online

  • Fulfilling online orders by accurately picking, packing and preparing products for courier dispatch or in-store collection

  • Maintaining a high standard of accuracy when handling orders and customer information

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Loves providing excellent customer service

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Is organised and pays attention to detail

  • Is confident using computers and learning new systems

  • Is reliable, dependable and takes ownership of their work

  • Is flexible and willing to help wherever needed

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Previous customer service, retail or sales experience

  • Experience with point-of-sale systems or online order processing

  • Experience handling customer enquiries via phone, email and digitally

No prior cigar or pipe tobacco knowledge is required. If you're keen to learn, we'll teach you everything you need to know. However, an interest in our products would certainly be an advantage.
