About the role
Barber – Kirkwood’s Barbers
We are looking for a skilled, reliable and motivated barber to join our established Auckland barbering team.
This is a hands-on barbering position suited to someone who takes pride in their craft, delivers consistently high-quality haircuts and provides an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality haircuts, fades, beard trims and grooming services
Maintaining excellent customer service and building strong client relationships
Encouraging repeat bookings and developing a loyal client base
Ensuring all walk-ins and appointments are correctly recorded in Fresha
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and professional workstation
Providing professional grooming advice and recommending retail products
Working efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards
Supporting team members and contributing to a positive shop environment
Following shop procedures, operating standards and daily cleaning requirements
Maintaining punctuality, reliability and professional presentation
About You
Proven experience working as a professional barber
Strong skills in fades, traditional cuts, scissor work and beard grooming
Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A friendly, confident and professional attitude
Ability to manage appointments and walk-in customers efficiently
Experience with booking and POS systems; Fresha experience is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
A genuine passion for barbering and developing your skills
