About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Reliability Engineer will lead the development and implementation of reliability engineering, maintenance planning and asset management strategies that maximise equipment availability and plant performance. The role will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality and Safety teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimise maintenance planning, scheduling and reliability strategies.
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
Monitor and report on reliability KPIs including OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
Drive asset lifecycle management, equipment criticality and replacement planning.
Lead continuous improvement of SAP CMMS processes, maintenance systems and reporting.
Support commissioning, optimisation and long-term reliability of new equipment and capital projects.
Partner with operational and maintenance teams to promote proactive maintenance practices and reliability-focused outcomes.
About You
You are a hands-on Reliability Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and using data to improve asset performance. You bring a strong combination of technical expertise, operational understanding and stakeholder engagement skills.
To be successful, you will have:
Experience in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Asset Management or Maintenance Planning within manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA and reliability improvement programs.
Experience using SAP S/4HANA, CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related discipline (preferred).
Highly regarded
Food manufacturing, FMCG, meat, poultry, dairy or beverage industry experience.
Greenfield project, commissioning or startup facility experience.
Qualifications in RCM, FMEA, RCA, vibration analysis, thermography or condition monitoring.
