Civil & Earthworks Labourers – West Auckland & Rodney Get stuck into local projects, learn practical skills and build a career in civil construction.

ALH is looking for reliable civil and earthworks labourers for sites from Westgate through to Warkworth. You’ll work alongside experienced crews and some of Auckland’s biggest contractors, helping turn bare ground into finished developments.

The work
No two days are the same. Your duties will include:

• Levelling, measuring and assisting with site preparation.
• Spotting for machine operators.
• Digging, trenching and general earthworks labouring.
• Installing and maintaining silt controls.
• Hay mulching and other environmental protection work.
• Moving materials and keeping the site tidy and safe.

You’ll have the opportunity to see projects progress from conception to completion and gain a real understanding of how civil operations work.

Hours and locations

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am–6:00pm.
• Saturday work: 7:00am–2:00pm.
• Sites across West Auckland and Rodney, from Westgate to Warkworth.
• Hours are subject to weather and site requirements.

• Your own reliable vehicle and a driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to work outdoors, take direction and get involved in physical tasks.
• A strong attitude towards safety and teamwork.
• Clear communication with ALH and your site supervisor.
