About you
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be currently based in New Zealand.
If you are a production leader who likes being out on the floor, solving problems, building a team and making the numbers better, we would welcome your application.

The role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will run the manufacturing operation and take ownership of:
- Production planning and scheduling across batching, filling and packing, supported by clear work instructions and batch records
- Line performance: leading fault-finding and root cause, driving down unplanned downtime, and running a preventative maintenance programme with contractors as needed
- Lean, 5S and continuous improvement that measurably lifts productivity and yield while reducing waste and cost
- Leading, coaching and rostering the production team, working through your Line Leads and building capability across the team
- Building the operation for growth: labour planning, shift patterns and line utilisation, and putting the case for improvements that deliver a clear return
- KPI reporting on output, downtime, waste, quality and safety, with input into production forecasts and improvement cases
About you
- Proven experience managing production in a manufacturing environment, ideally chemical, FMCG, detergents, personal care or similar
- Enough mechanical depth to lead first-line fault-finding and root cause on the lines, with no maintenance team on site, and the judgement to know when to bring in specialist support
- A track record of measuring and reducing downtime and improving output and yield, with results you can put numbers to
- Strong people leadership on the floor: you set clear expectations, build capability through your leads and hold people to account
- Experience with production planning and batch traceability
- Working knowledge of Lean, 5S and ISO 9001, with hazardous substances and dangerous goods knowledge or the willingness to build it
- Real ownership of production in a growing business, with a direct line to the General Manager
- A dedicated Compliance Lead alongside you on formulation and technical matters
- A clear path to broader operational leadership as the business scales
- Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm
