About the Role
Trade Depot is looking for an experienced Appliance Service Technician to join our Auckland team.
This is a hands-on role working across a wide range of domestic appliances and whiteware, carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs both in our Auckland workshop and out in the field.
You’ll be someone who enjoys working through technical problems, finding practical solutions and getting appliances back up and running.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of appliances and whiteware, including fridges, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and ovens
Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
Carry out repairs and servicing both in our Auckland workshop and at customer locations
Investigate technical issues and find practical, effective repair solutions
Provide friendly, professional service and keep customers informed throughout the repair process
Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records
Work safely, maintain your tools and equipment, and keep your workspace organised
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Previous experience in appliance servicing, repairs or a similar technical role
An EAS/EST qualification or other relevant electrical/appliance servicing qualification
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Good knowledge of domestic appliances, whiteware and diagnostic equipment
A practical, solutions-focused approach to troubleshooting
Good communication, time management and basic computer skills
A full, clean NZ driver's licence and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
