Home Health Director of Nursing

Position Overview
We are a small, dedicated Lake County home health agency located in Mount Dora, Florida, seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Health Director of Nursing to lead our skilled services and private duty teams. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, flexible, and possess strong leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. We are located within Waterman Village Senior Living Community, however are licensed to provide care within Lake County.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all nursing operations within the home health agency, including skilled nursing and private duty services.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to home health care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and training to meet agency needs and patient demands.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
- Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare partners.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Proven experience as a Home Health Director of Nursing or similar leadership role within a home health setting.
- Experience managing both skilled nursing services and private duty care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexible approach to work and problem-solving.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with small agency operations is a plus.
