Senior Product Owner – VPU | Program CARE

Help redesign banking around the customer

This is an opportunity to take a senior product leadership role in Program CARE, shaping initiatives designed to improve the end-to-end experience for TMBL members.

As Senior Product Owner – Value Proposition Uplift (VPU), you’ll connect strategy with delivery, turning customer, business and organisational priorities into clear product roadmaps and measurable outcomes. You’ll work across business and technology, bringing together senior stakeholders, delivery teams, architecture and design to make informed decisions about what matters most and where to focus investment.

Why this role matters

Program CARE is focused on customer transformation. Your work will help ensure customer and member needs remain at the centre of decisions, from early discovery and investment choices through to delivery and benefits realisation.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic priorities, advocate for better customer experiences and build stronger product thinking across the program.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll:
  • Shape and maintain product visions, roadmaps and success measures aligned to Program CARE objectives.
  • Lead discovery and use customer research, analytics and business insights to identify opportunities and inform priorities.
  • Own prioritisation across epics, features and delivery backlogs, balancing member outcomes with commercial, operational, regulatory and technology considerations.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders to translate strategy into achievable delivery outcomes.
  • Champion seamless end-to-end customer experiences and measure whether initiatives deliver their intended customer and business outcomes.
  • Strengthen product capability by coaching teams and stakeholders on product thinking, prioritisation, road mapping and customer-centric decision making.

What you’ll bring

Essential
  • Significant experience across product ownership, product proposition design and management, business transformation or digital delivery.
  • Experience leading complex enterprise initiatives and working with cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong capability in product strategy, discovery, roadmap development and prioritisation.
  • Experience using customer, commercial and operational insights to guide investment and delivery decisions.
  • The ability to engage and influence senior and executive stakeholders, bringing evidence and clarity to complex decisions.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and translating strategy into practical outcomes.
  • An undergraduate qualification in Business, Commerce, Technology, Finance, Design or a related discipline, plus relevant professional training or certification in Agile, Product Management or Product Ownership.
Nice to have
  • Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated industry would be valuable, as would experience with large-scale transformation or establishing contemporary product management practices.
  • Qualifications such as CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Human-Centred Design, Customer Experience, Product School or Pragmatic Institute would also be welcomed.
  • If you bring much of this experience but not every desirable qualification, we’d still encourage you to apply.
