Pharmacy Manager
Ready to take the lead and shape the future of our pharmacy service?
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Pharmacy Manager to lead our in-hospital pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just their next pharmacy role. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how the service develops, bring new ideas to life and lead a team that plays a vital part in delivering outstanding care to our patients.

The role
As Pharmacy Manager, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day running and future development of our Pharmacy department.
Your role will also extend beyond Ashtead, with oversight of a sister site that does not have its own on-site pharmacy service. The Ashtead Pharmacy team provides support to this site twice a week, and as Pharmacy Manager you’ll lead and oversee this service, ensuring consistency, quality and strong collaboration across both locations.
Working closely with clinical teams across the hospital, you’ll ensure patients receive a safe, effective and high-quality pharmacy service, while identifying opportunities to innovate, improve and strengthen the service.
Just as importantly, you’ll be a visible and supportive leader for your team. You’ll help colleagues develop their skills, encourage new ideas and create an environment where people feel empowered to deliver their best.
At Ramsay, we want you to grow too. Through the Ramsay Academy, you’ll have opportunities to continue developing your leadership and clinical expertise as you progress your career with us.

Where you’ll be based
Ashtead Hospital

What you’ll bring with you
We’re looking for someone who combines strong clinical expertise with confident, positive leadership. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the GPhC
  • Clinical Diploma or equivalent clinical pharmacist experience
  • Previous management or leadership experience, including staff appraisal, development and training
  • Experience using electronic stock control systems
  • Experience developing policies, procedures and/or clinical guidelines
  • Strong audit and data analysis skills
  • Budgetary and change management experience would be advantageous
  • Business case development experience would also be desirable
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for developing both people and services

What’s in it for you?
We want our people to feel valued and supported, with benefits including:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus eight Bank Holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Private healthcare and life assurance
  • Enhanced family-friendly and parental leave policies
  • Free uniform and DBS check
  • Free on-site parking and subsidised staff restaurant, where available
  • Employee discount programme
  • Wellbeing Centre and 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Long-service, recognition and appreciation awards
  • Access to the Ramsay Academy, giving you opportunities to learn, develop and progress your career
