About the role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting plant reliability, asset management, maintenance improvement initiatives, and capital project delivery across our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support to production and maintenance teams.

• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

• Develop and improve preventative and condition-based maintenance strategies.

• Manage mechanical projects from concept through to commissioning.

• Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and capital works programs.

• Conduct root cause analysis and reliability improvement activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or processing environment ideally in food manufacture.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience with maintenance and reliability systems.

• Knowledge of pumps, conveyors, rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
