Scott County Schools is hiring for Director of Curriculum and Instruction for 2027-2028

Responsibilities:

• Support all aspects of the school district vision, mission, and strategic plan.
• Coordinate professional development for each staff member.
• Assist in the direction and coordination of the accreditation process
• Collaborate with grade and content levels to align curriculum.
• Assist with course evaluation and addition.
• Work with teachers to determine resource needs.
• Testing coordinator for all assessments at each building level.
• Assist teachers with embedding school improvement concepts.
• Provide guidance and oversight for teacher licensure and new teacher mentorship

• Maintain a positive working relationship with district staff.
• Abide by policies set forth by the board of education.
• Make recommendations to all staff for improvement.
• Deliver presentations to staff.
• Lead new initiatives in education.
• Constantly evaluate and search for enhancement to course offerings.
• Have the ability to work with teaching staff in a collaborative approach.
• Have the ability to work with administration on meeting instructional needs within each building.
• Have the ability to multi-task, keeping numerous projects on-going.
• Possess organizational and technological skills.

• Candidates should have at least a BS in Education and at least three years of teaching experience.
• Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office (after employment offer is made)
• Other requirements as established by the Board of Education
