We are partnering with one of the world's leading engineering and manufacturing groups, with significant international scale and extensive capabilities across energy and infrastructure, to appoint a Senior or Principal Engineer specialising in transmission towers, substation steel structures and high-voltage infrastructure.
This technically focused, client-facing position extends beyond traditional structural design, translating project requirements into practical, commercially competitive and constructible steel solutions.
The Opportunity
Working with transmission network operators, EPC contractors, engineering consultants and manufacturing specialists, you will contribute to preliminary engineering, technical evaluations and project development.
Your involvement will span structural loading, technical specifications, material selection, manufacturing and constructability, alongside technical input into tenders and commercial proposals.
The focus is on applying engineering judgement to develop technically sound, cost-effective solutions rather than detailed design or final engineering certification.
About You
We are seeking Civil or Structural Engineers with experience in high-voltage transmission infrastructure, particularly lattice towers, steel poles, substation gantries or associated structural steelwork.
Experience with infrastructure at 132 kV and above would be highly regarded, together with an understanding of structural loading, foundation interfaces, steel fabrication and relevant Australian standards.
You will be comfortable interpreting technical requirements, evaluating engineering alternatives and engaging with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with PLS-TOWER, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, Space Gass, Strand7 or STAAD would be advantageous.
Why This Opportunity?
This position offers the opportunity to influence how transmission infrastructure is specified, manufactured, and delivered, combining technical expertise with client engagement and commercial considerations.
We welcome confidential enquiries from experienced engineers interested in exploring the opportunity.
