The opportunity
As our Christchurch Branch Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of our Hornby branch, leading a team of tyre professionals who deliver essential services to our customers.
This is a role that combines people leadership, operational management, customer relationships and commercial responsibility.
You'll be responsible for keeping things moving, ensuring customers receive great service, developing your people and driving the performance of the branch.
And here's the important bit – this isn't a sit-behind-a-desk management role.
When things get busy, we expect our Branch Manager to be right there alongside the team. You'll be someone who gets involved and does what needs to be done.
You'll lead from the front, set the standard and create a team culture where everyone pitches in.
What will you be doing?
Leading and developing your team – creating a positive, accountable and high-performing environment where people are supported to do their best work.
Running the day-to-day operation – keeping jobs, people and resources organised so we consistently deliver on our customer commitments.
Getting hands-on when needed – rolling up your sleeves and working alongside the team during busy periods.
Building great customer relationships – being the face of SuperTyre in Christchurch, resolving issues and ensuring our customers keep coming back.
Driving branch performance – taking ownership of productivity, costs, budgets and profitability.
Finding better ways of doing things – looking for opportunities to improve systems, processes and the way we work.
Keeping everyone safe – leading a strong safety culture and ensuring our people have the tools, training and support they need.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you'll bring:
Importantly, you must know tyres. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running and to do this you must have had previous experience within a retail and/or commercial tyre operation.
Proven experience leading a team in a busy operational, service or workshop environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
A commercial mindset, with an understanding of what drives productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers and team members alike.
A practical, solutions-focused approach – you're someone who finds ways to get things done.
A genuine commitment to safety, quality and doing things properly.
You'll need to be comfortable making decisions, adapting when priorities change and keeping a cool head when things get hectic.
