About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team at Rydges Wellington. This full-time role is responsible for delivering high-quality, consistent breakfast service while maintaining exceptional food safety and presentation standards.
As Breakfast Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests start their day with an outstanding dining experience. Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you will prepare a wide variety of breakfast dishes, maintain an organised and efficient section, and contribute to menu development and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time position with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays is essential.
Key Accountabilities:
• Prepare and present a wide range of breakfast dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Collaborate with the Head/Executive Chef on menu updates and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards at all times.
• Manage breakfast section organisation, stock levels, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Optimise resources and minimise waste while maintaining efficiency during service.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by responding to requests and maintaining service excellence.

• Accurate and timely completion of daily tasks.
• Positive guest feedback and service standards.
• Effective resource utilisation and cost control.
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong proficiency in preparing a broad range of breakfast dishes.
• Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (certification required or highly regarded).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
