About us
Riverlea Group Ltd is a NZ family owned and operated manufacturer and distributor of high-quality brands. Operating successfully since 1991, we proudly manufacture a range of reputable products at our custom-built site in Hamilton.
Our own brand of trusted garden sheds alongside our industry leading cladding and flashings division form the core of our business, supported by a range of lifestyle products and wheelbarrows. Providing our customers with exceptional quality products and service is what drives us and forms part of our core values.
We’re growing rapidly and are currently building a bigger, better facility so we can keep up with demand. We are on a journey and want humble, hungry and smart people to come along with us.
Driving on your terms
This is a casual position, with work offered as it comes up rather than on a fixed roster. This would suit someone who wants to set their own schedule, is looking for part-time hours, or wants regular driving work alongside other commitments. As our delivery division grows, there may be the opportunity to pick up more work over time.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a customer focused, competent Class 4 or 5 driver with a great attitude and a passion to contribute to our fast-growing family company. If you have, or are interested in gaining, your Hi-ab licence, that’s a bonus!
As a driver at Riverlea Group Ltd, you’ll interact with our customers regularly, so a friendly and personable demeanour is a must. We are looking for people who display honesty and integrity, coupled with a willingness to grow and develop and be better in their role every day.
Work will be offered on an as-needed basis, mainly for deliveries, with the occasional production shift in our factory if you’re keen. The odd overnight trip may come up from time to time.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a Class 4 or 5 licence
Hold a clean driver’s licence
Preferably have experience in the cartage of roofing or similar products
Preferably have experience with roof lifts of steel
Be prepared to drive on off-road tracks to some rural building sites
Be healthy and fit to achieve the tasks set out in the job description
Display competent driving and operational skills
Demonstrate a passion for looking after our customers in a positive, friendly way
Be fluent in English, with clear verbal communication skills
Have the ability to think on the run
Be supportive of and aligned with our company values
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

To be effective we optimise our performance like a Formula 1 race car. We push boundaries, seize opportunities and continually improve where we can, from products to processes, our service and ourselves. We know that when we stop improving, we don’t win races.
Care About Others
We are a family on a journey, and at the heart of our values lies a deep sense of care and compassion for others. We are empathetic listeners and strive to understand the needs of those around us. We remember that people may forget what we say but will never forget how we made them feel.
Positive Passionate People
We look for people who bring positive energy to the workplace. We like warm and friendly: be the sunshine in the room! We are welcoming and our people are passionate about what they do.
If you’d like flexible driving work with a great team, we’d love to hear from you!
