JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer

Location: Pune S.B. Road, On-site

Embedded Systems | Power Electronics | Industrial Automation

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced hardware engineer to lead the design, development and validation of electronic systems for embedded and power-electronics applications. You will work across the full hardware lifecycle—from circuit architecture and PCB design to prototyping, testing, system integration and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop reliable electronic hardware for industrial and embedded applications.

  • Translate system requirements into circuit architectures, detailed schematics and multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) designs.

  • Model and simulate power-electronics systems, including inverters, DC-DC and AC-DC converters, SMPS, transformers, and buck-boost topologies.

  • Build functional prototypes on zero-PCB/prototype setups to support early-stage validation and safety analysis.

  • Conduct bench testing, hardware validation and load testing under real-world operating conditions to assess performance, reliability and safety.

  • Troubleshoot complex hardware issues using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), LCR meters, digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) and logic analyzers.

  • Partner with firmware and software teams to ensure effective hardware-software integration.

  • Support compliance and certification activities, including EMI/EMC testing and CE certification requirements.

  • Lead modernization and upgrade initiatives—for example, HMI/PLC system upgrades—to replace obsolete components, improve performance and extend system viability.

  • Prepare technical documentation, quality-check sheets and project reports; contribute to project planning, estimation, task management and delivery timelines.

Technical Skills

PCB Design Tools: OrCAD/Cadence, KiCad, Altium, Eagle and EasyEDA.

Simulation Tools: LTspice, Proteus ISIS or equivalent circuit-simulation software.

Microcontrollers and Firmware Awareness: Hands-on experience with platforms such as ATmega8A, ESP32 and ITE9867, along with an understanding of Embedded C and tools such as Arduino IDE, AVR Studio and Eclipse.

Peripherals and Communication: Timers, counters, interrupts, UART, SPI, I2C and GSM communication.

Testing and Debugging Equipment: Digital storage oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, LCR meters, digital multimeters and automated test fixtures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. A Diploma in Electronics Engineering is highly preferred.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design, power electronics or industrial automation.

  • Practical exposure to high-voltage systems, industrial instrumentation (such as transformer monitoring or oil test sets), and safety/failure-protection units (such as capacitor-failure protection).

What Will Help You Succeed

  • Strong technical adaptability and the ability to learn and adopt new hardware technologies.

  • Excellent time management and a consistent track record of meeting project deadlines.

  • Clear communication and a collaborative working style, with a focus on constructive working relationshi
