About us
Āmua is a scale up Agritech firm that helps farms grow more pasture, use less fertiliser, and lower nitrous oxide and nitrate losses. This reduces farm costs and supply chain while simultaneously giving us cleaner waterways, less toxic water and better soil. The device is being trialled in Canterbury farms, farms are lining up to take more, and paying pilots start in March 2027.
About the role
This is a farm role with a technical edge. You'll get devices fitted and working on pilot farms, train cows, and be the first person our farmers call. Right now the job is data: the more cows wearing devices, the faster our detection improves, so you'll collect, clean and label the field data our engineers depend on.
You'll test each new device design before it goes on cows, fix and refit devices in the field, and act as our Animal Ethics Coordinator. As we grow, you'll lead one or two people collecting data alongside you, potentially starting with some Precision Ag Masters students.
You'll be able to confidently move stock around a paddock in any weather or situation.
