We’re looking for an organised, adaptable Transport Planner and Dispatcher to coordinate log truck movements and help ensure deliveries reach customers safely and on time.
You’ll be at the centre of daily operations, planning schedules and routes, communicating with drivers, logging crews and customers, and adjusting plans as priorities change. Change is a constant in this role, so you’ll need to stay calm under pressure, respond quickly and keep everyone informed.
What you’ll be doing
You’re an excellent communicator who builds relationships easily and enjoys working with a wide range of people. You can juggle competing priorities, solve problems as they arise and maintain accuracy when things get busy.
Confidence using computer systems and learning new processes. Experience in transport, dispatch, logistics or a similar coordination role would be ideal but not essential as full training will be provided.
Hours and duration
Monday to Thursday: 10am to 7pm
Friday: 9am to 7pm
This temporary assignment starts ASAP and is expected to run for approximately three months, with the potential to continue longer.

- Planning, dispatching and recording truck movements using the Trimble/WSX Asset Forestry system.
- Making effective use of the fleet through scheduling, route planning and backloading opportunities.
- Working closely with drivers, crews and customers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
- Keeping operational information and dispatch records accurate and up to date.
- Monitoring driver hours and supporting safe working practices and transport compliance.
