At QCONZ, we work alongside farmers across New Zealand, providing on-farm audit and verification services across the primary sector. As demand for our services continues to grow, we're looking for a practical, people-focused contractor to join our team in the Gisborne region.
This is an important role that helps support global market access for New Zealand products. It would suit someone with a strong sheep and beef and/or horticulture background who enjoys working with farmers, travelling throughout the region, and spending time out on farm.

You'll receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role. Experience in farming, agriculture, quality assurance, or compliance-related work would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn is equally important.
As a contractor, you'll enjoy flexibility and variety, with workload levels varying throughout the year based on seasonal demand.
What the role involves:
Once you’re approved, you’ll be working as an on-farm auditor. Tasks include:
Contacting farmers and booking their on‑farm audits
Carrying out audits to the required standards and protocols
Following up and managing any corrective actions, both on‑farm and remotely, to make sure everything’s completed and signed off on time
About you:
Strong interpersonal skills and able to get on well with farmers
Clear communicator who’s confident talking with farmers and writing reports
Hands‑on experience in sheep and beef and/or horticulture is strongly preferred
Comfortable using computers and working in online systems
You’ll need to be a New Zealand resident or hold a valid NZ work visa
This is a contract role, paid while training and then per audit completed, offering flexibility and variety.
