Destination Queenstown and Lake Wānaka Tourism are seeking a Sustainability & Community Engagement Coordinator to support the delivery of destination stewardship, community and nature restoration projects across the Queenstown Lakes region.

The role coordinates the day-to-day delivery of the Love Queenstown and Love Wānaka Community Funds and delivers allocated projects from the Queenstown Lakes Destination Management Plan, Travel to a Thriving Future. This includes project delivery, relationship management, fundraising coordination, business and visitor engagement, and measuring and communicating impact.

We are looking for a genuine, hardworking person with proven relationship management and project delivery experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to sustainability in practice. You will be confident building trusted relationships with community groups, businesses, conservation and restoration groups, donors and other partners.

Knowledge of biodiversity, conservation, restoration, philanthropy, community funding or tourism would be advantageous.

The position can be based in either Queenstown or Wānaka, with frequent travel between both locations and across the wider region. A full New Zealand or valid international driver licence is required.
