The Role
You will work alongside experienced cedar specialists and be trained in:
• Cedar washing using water blasters
• Timber preparation and surface restoration
• Cedar staining and oiling systems
• Small painting and finishing work
• Erecting and dismantling mobile scaffolding
• Working safely at heights once trained
This is physical outdoor work. You must be fit, practical and comfortable working on residential sites and at heights.
This is a permanent, full‑time position with guaranteed weekly hours.
Who We’re Looking For
Experience is helpful but not essential. Attitude is critical.
You are:
• Reliable and on time
• Physically capable and comfortable outdoors
• Respectful and professional with clients
• Detail‑focused and proud of your workmanship
• Open to feedback and keen to improve
• Interested in progressing into Senior Technician or Foreman level over time
Requirements:
• Clean full driver license
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Ability to follow health and safety systems
Painting, exterior trade or scaffolding experience is an advantage.
Remuneration Structure
• $27 – $37 per hour depending on experience
• Performance‑based pay reviews linked to skill progression
• Team bonus pool tied to job efficiency and quality targets
• Clear pathway to Senior Technician and Foreman rates
Pay reflects reliability, productivity and standards.
