Human Resource Group Ltd is proud to have teamed up with our clients close knit Accounting & Advisory Practice situated close to the beaches of the Bay Of Plenty coastline. This role will suit a well-rounded Accounting Professional wanting to join a progressive team in a beautiful part of New Zealand. The Practice focuses on providing full accounting and business advisory services. Competence in preparing annual financial statements & tax returns whilst liaising with clients in an informative and supportive manner is important along with your excellent grasp of NZ tax and financial reporting standards.

Some of the main responsibilities defining this accountant role include:

·       Preparation of year-end financial statements and tax returns.

·       Be competent to undertake financial statement first reviews

·       Tax compliance (including Income Tax, GST, FBT etc.).

·       Developing & managing relationships with key clients and stakeholders

·       Manage, support & development of junior accounting team members

·       Completion of value-added work including periodic management, financial modelling, budgeting, financial forecasting and taxation advice.

Ideally you will: 

·       Have a sense of humour

·       Good experience with Xero XPM & MS Excel

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Strong knowledge of IRD tax requirements & legislation

·       Enjoy working with people, building relationships & developing a strong understanding your client’s business

·       Have 3-5 + years’ experience within a NZ Chartered Accounting firm 

·       Be willing to upskill and learn from experienced team members

·       Aspirations towards become a Partner in the future.
