We are currently looking for experienced Fettlers to join one of our clients in their busy Christchurch workshop.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working with metal components, carrying out grinding, fettling and finishing work to get parts cleaned up and ready for the next stage of production.

What you’ll be doing:

• Fettling, grinding and finishing metal components
• Removing excess material and cleaning up castings
• Using grinders, hand tools and other workshop equipment
• Checking finished parts and maintaining a good standard of workmanship
• General workshop duties as required

What we’re looking for:

• Previous fettling, grinding or similar metalwork experience
• Experience using grinders and power tools
• A good eye for detail and quality
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team

Experience within a foundry, engineering, fabrication or manufacturing environment would be a bonus.
