About the Role
Carters Tyre Service is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Fleet Serviceperson to join our Whangarei team.
This is a hands-on role providing tyre management and maintenance services to commercial fleet customers throughout the region. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and like building great customer relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Fleet Serviceperson, you'll be responsible for maintaining and servicing tyres on a wide range of commercial vehicles. You'll work both on customer sites and from our Whangarei branch, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
✅ Fleet inspections and tyre audits
✅ Tyre fitting, repairs and replacements
✅ Pressure management and tread depth monitoring
✅ Wheel changes and tyre maintenance
✅ Electronic service reporting
✅ Delivering outstanding customer service
✅ Supporting our 24/7 breakdown service roster when required
What We're Looking For
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills
Customer-focused with attention to detail
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Commitment to health and safety
Full NZ Driver Licence
Class 2 Licence is an advantage
Mechanical, tyre industry, fleet servicing or automotive experience is preferred but not essential
