Tilemax Christchurch is looking for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Delivery Driver / Storeperson to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining local deliveries with warehouse and storeperson duties. We are looking for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

The role includes:

• Driving a Class 2 delivery vehicle for local Christchurch deliveries

• Delivering tiles and associated building products to customer and project sites

• Loading and hand unloading delivery vehicles

• Manual handling of products as part of deliveries and warehouse operations

• Picking and preparing customer orders

• Receiving and putting away incoming stock

• General warehouse and storeperson duties

• Checking orders and delivery documentation

• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse and vehicle

• Providing professional service when dealing with customers

This is an active role. Tile cartons and other products can weigh up to approximately 30kg, so regular manual handling is an inherent part of the position. Safe manual-handling practices, equipment and team lifting are used where appropriate.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A current NZ Class 2 driver's licence

• A good driving record

• The ability to safely carry out the manual-handling requirements of the role

• Reliability and good timekeeping

• A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved

• Good attention to detail

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A professional manner when dealing with customers

• The legal right to work in New Zealand

A current forklift certificate and previous warehouse, delivery, building supply or similar experience would be an advantage, but aren't essential for the right person. We're looking for someone who is comfortable with a role that involves both driving and hands-on warehouse work. You'll likely suit the position if you enjoy practical work, like keeping busy and are prepared to contribute wherever required during the day.
