Are you highly organised, confident with data and Excel, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transport environment? We are looking for a Dispatcher – Network Manifesting & Payments to join our Christchurch team and help keep our network information accurate, our owner driver payments on track, and our daily operations running smoothly.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Linehaul Manager, you will support the connection between dispatch, manifesting, freight movements and payment information. You will work closely with Operations, Fleet, Finance, Customer Service, depot teams and owner drivers to validate information, resolve discrepancies and ensure approved payments are processed accurately and on time.

What you’ll be doing

·         Process approved owner driver payment information accurately and within agreed timeframes.

·         Maintain accurate manifests, transport system records and supporting documentation.

·         Validate payment data against completed work, agreed rates, quantities and source records.

·         Use Excel to manage data, calculations, lookups, reconciliations and payment schedules.

·         Identify, investigate and resolve payment, manifest and documentation discrepancies.

·         Respond promptly and professionally to owner driver and internal queries.

·         Prepare accurate daily and period-end reporting on payment status, exceptions and outstanding items.

·         Maintain secure, well-organised and readily retrievable records.

·         Follow payment controls and approval processes, escalating exceptions where required.

·         Identify practical opportunities to improve processes and reduce recurring errors.

What you’ll bring

·         Experience in administration, payroll, revenue, accounts, transport administration or another data-intensive role.

·         Experience with dispatch, freight movements, job allocation, manifesting or transport system updates.

·         Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, filtering, sorting and data validation.

·         Strong numerical accuracy, analytical ability and attention to detail.

·         Confidence working with high volumes of operational or financial data to strict deadlines.

·         Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.

·         The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and remain accurate under pressure.

·         Integrity and discretion when handling financial and personal information.

·         Transport or logistics experience, and familiarity with Hercules and/or NetSuite, would be advantageous.
