We are looking for a Delivery Driver.

This is a Full Time Position 30 hours minimum guaranteed.

1 years relevant work experience is required.

Must be available for varied shifts including evenings and weekends. We have two full time positions available.

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the transport of Patagonia Chocolates food items from the company production areas to Patagonia Chocolates Cafes in safe, timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities included loading food, transporting it to the destination, making sure food safety standards are respected, and reporting any vehicle mechanical problems.

The Food Delivery Driver must perform safe driving, good time management, have good communication skills and teamwork attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Perform pre-delivery vehicle preparation checking and plan the best route of delivery, consider and check weather conditions.

Drive company truck vehicle to deliver Patagonia Chocolates food products to various locations in QLDC, including Arrowtown and Wanaka.

Prepare order, load, unload, operate, and clean delivery truck . Check the condition of the load and that it is secure after each load and before start driving.

Work as part of a team and assist the Production Manager in coordination with Café Managers by taking order and being on time for the delivery.

Accurately process orders and check incoming goods paperwork according to Food Safety Programme

Keep records of, and check invoices for products carrying and goods that are arriving to the production plant.

Receive, transfer and organize food supplies when delivered to Patagonia Chocolates production plant.

Keep track of and maintain inventory of products and suppliers.

Organise orders in accordance to the desired stock level to maximise efficiency.

Protect the company's assets by maintaining organized, safe, and clean work areas; complying with safety and security standards at all times.

Maintain truck and food-dispensing equipment in sanitary working conditions. Ensure safety procedures were adhered to by maintaining cleanliness. Carry out routine check of the truck

Follow Patagonia Chocolates safety procedures.

Keep records of temperature for Truck/Freezer

Keep a logbook of the hours worked and breaks taken.

Help with food preparation and planning when needed and any other tasks that may be required from time to time.

Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Patagonia Chocolates.

Hold a current valid licence to drive in New Zealand
