Looking to kick-start your career in New Zealand tourism? We might have just the opportunity for you.
At Pacific Destinations, we’re looking for someone starting out who loves organisation, notices the little things, and gets real satisfaction from making sure everything runs smoothly.
As our FIT Operations Assistant, you’ll work alongside our FIT Consultants and help with all the behind-the-scenes details that bring amazing New Zealand holidays together. From helping to prepare itineraries and travel documents to checking supplier availability and keeping files accurate and up to date, you’ll be an important part of making sure everything is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
You’ll also be one of the first points of contact for Pacific Destinations, answering calls from our suppliers, agents and clients and getting them through to the right person.
It can get busy, so you’ll need to think on your feet, work accurately and stay organised when there’s plenty happening. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in getting the job done. A good sense of humour comes in handy too.
If you’re organised, detail-focused and ready to start building a career in tourism, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Answering all incoming calls during business hours and directing them to the right member of the PDNZ team
Running availability checks for incoming quotes
Cross checking final booking requirements between agent and PDNZ
Producing additional requirements to prepare passenger Welcome packs
Back up for preparing passenger Welcome packs and insuring they reach their arrival point on time.
