The Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) is a community-led organisation representing the interests of Traditional Owners, known as Yarnangu, who live across 11 communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands of central and Goldfields Western Australia.

Established in 1981, NCG employs more than 450 people and delivers a diverse range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, retail, art centres and land management. As one of Australia's largest and most successful Indigenous organisations, NCG plays a vital role in supporting community wellbeing, economic participation and the delivery of essential services across a vast and remote region.

Our vision is helping Yarnangu remain strong on country living lives filled with purpose and agency, thriving in a culture rich environment.

We are committed to culturally safe, respectful and effective services that strengthen our people, communities and organisational capability.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and strategic People Projects, Policy and Systems Manager to lead workforce projects, policy, governance and systems across Ngaanyatjarra Council Group.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is a rare opportunity to shape the People function from the ground up, driving continuous improvement and ensuring workforce systems and processes are effective, compliant and fit for purpose.

A major focus of this role will be overseeing the implementation and optimisation of our new HRIS, working closely with internal stakeholders, implementation partners and project teams to deliver effective systems, streamlined workflows, reliable workforce data and sustainable organisational change.

You will also lead the development and implementation of workforce policies, governance frameworks and strategic improvement initiatives, translating organisational priorities into practical solutions that support operational excellence and culturally responsive service delivery.

This is an opportunity for a capable people leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation with a strong community-focused purpose.

·       Drive change, consultation, communication and capability-building across a diverse, geographically dispersed organisation.

·       Provide trusted advice to senior leaders and governance forums.

·       Lead and develop the People Projects, Policy and Systems Specialist.

About You

You must be eligible to work in Australia and hold, or be able to obtain, a National Police Clearance.

Why Join Us?

Join a purpose-led organisation and help create a contemporary People function with lasting impact. You will have the scope to build, influence and deliver — not simply maintain what already exists.

·       Shape the People function and its future operating model.
