The Opportunity
Emrec Recruitment is seeking experienced Senior Security Engineers for 6–12 month contract opportunities across enterprise organisations and cybersecurity service providers.
We're looking for hands-on engineers who can hit the ground running, take ownership of complex security environments and deliver practical technical outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
Implement, integrate and optimise enterprise security solutions.
Engineer and troubleshoot Microsoft Defender, XDR and SIEM platforms.
Support identity, endpoint and infrastructure security.
Deliver security improvements, integrations and automation.
Support SOC operations, incident response and technical escalations.
Work closely with enterprise technical teams and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Microsoft Defender: Strong hands-on experience with Defender technologies, particularly endpoint agents, sensors and XDR.
SIEM: Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or other enterprise SIEM platforms.
Identity: Good understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID and enterprise infrastructure.
Security Engineering: Proven experience with enterprise implementations, integrations and complex troubleshooting.
Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently and quickly understand unfamiliar environments.
Highly regarded: Microsoft Intune, Purview, PowerShell, Python, security automation, SOC operations, incident management and technical leadership.

You're a resourceful, hands-on security engineer who thrives in complex enterprise environments. You take ownership, solve difficult problems independently and communicate confidently with technical teams and stakeholders.
