Your Health, Your Whānau, Our Community
Waitaha Primary Health provides primary health services to over 70,000 enrolled patients across the wider Canterbury region — from Waimate in the south to Cheviot in the north. As we grow our presence across South Canterbury, we're looking for a Clinical Programme Administrator to provide the administrative backbone that keeps our practices, programmes and whānau connected.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on organisation, builds relationships easily, and takes pride in getting the details right.
About the Role
Based across South Canterbury and reporting to the Regional Manager – Aoraki/South Canterbury, you'll support our GP practices, clinical teams and community partners to deliver great outcomes for our enrolled population. Day to day, you'll:
Manage GP practice enrolment information and keep records accurate and current
Support whānau enrolment and follow up on contact and outcomes
Complete programme reporting and maintain systems including HealthUI and Halcyon
Support immunisation follow-up for overdue tamariki, working alongside GP practices
Coordinate Practice Manager and GP/Owner meetings — invitations, agendas, venues and catering
Be the first point of contact for practice enquiries and programme requirements
Build strong, trusted relationships across GP practices, clinical teams and community organisations
Represent Waitaha positively across the South Canterbury community
About you
Experience in an administration or coordination role, ideally in a busy, multi-stakeholder environment
Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with a genuinely high attention to detail
A confident communicator and relationship-builder, comfortable working with people at all levels
Confident using Microsoft Office, Teams and digital systems
A high level of discretion and confidentiality
Health or primary care experience, or a tertiary qualification in business administration or health, is a bonus but not essential
What we offer
A part-time role (0.4–0.6 FTE) with flexibility across South Canterbury
The chance to be part of Waitaha's growth into South Canterbury, working alongside a supportive regional team
A role where your work directly supports whānau and practices in your own community
Salary will be negotiated and commensurate with skills and experience.
