New World Havelock North is seeking an experienced and driven Fresh Foods Manager to lead our fresh departments. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering outstanding quality, presentation, and customer service across our fresh food departments.
Position Details:
- Days: To be discussed during interview process.
- Hours: Full-time (rostered hours to be discussed)
- Location: Havelock North
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of all fresh departments (Butchery, Produce, Seafood, Bakery, etc.)
- Leading, motivating, and developing team members
- Ensuring high standards of product quality, availability, and presentation
- Providing oversight and support to managers in managing stock levels, ensuring accurate ordering practices, and implementing strategies to minimise waste.
- Driving sales and achieving department targets
- Maintaining food safety and health & safety compliance

- Proven experience in a supermarket or fresh foods leadership role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
- Solid understanding of food safety and compliance requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
