The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, overseeing payroll, and ensuring statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounting transactions up to Trial Balance.
- Assist with management accounts and financial reporting.
- Manage payroll processing using Sage Payroll Professional.
- Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, UIF, and other statutory returns.
- Handle provisional and corporate income tax submissions.
- Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage supplier reconciliations and payment batches.
- Maintain inventory and stock records.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and statutory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- BCom Accounting Degree.
- Minimum 3 years' commercial accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience advantageous.
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Evolution and Sage Payroll Professional.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a remote working environment.
