About the role
Working closely with the Auckland Branch Manager and wider Airzone team, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver commercial HVAC projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard. You will be responsible for coordinating people, materials, contractors and customers throughout the project lifecycle, while keeping a close eye on programme, quality and costs.
Key responsibilities
Plan and coordinate commercial HVAC projects from commencement through to completion
Develop and implement project work plans and adjust them as project requirements change
Coordinate internal technicians, apprentices and external labour
Provide clear project instructions and support the project team
Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with construction crews and operations personnel
Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and successfully deliver project outcomes
Coordinate purchasing and ensure materials and resources are available when required
Select, coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders
Monitor project progress, labour, materials and costs to help keep projects on time and within budget
About you
At least 5 years' experience in the commercial HVAC industry
A background as an HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Engineer or similar qualified trade professional
Experience coordinating or supervising commercial HVAC projects
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to coordinate multiple people and priorities effectively
Good understanding of site procedures and project delivery
A practical, solutions-focused approach
The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking ownership of your responsibilities
A professional and customer-focused approach
A full driver's licence
