We are working with a well-established accounting firm in Hamilton that is looking to add a Senior BAS Accountant to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has developed a strong foundation in public practice and is ready to take on greater responsibility, manage their own portfolio and build strong client relationships.

About the Role

You'll work with a diverse range of clients, providing a combination of compliance and advisory services. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of clients
Preparing annual accounts and tax returns
Preparing GST returns and other compliance work
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Working directly with business owners and key decision-makers
Reviewing work and supporting junior team members

About You

We're looking for an Accountant who is confident in public practice and ready to operate at a senior level.

Ideally, you'll bring:

3+ years of New Zealand public practice experience
Strong BAS and compliance experience
Good knowledge of New Zealand accounting and taxation
Experience managing a portfolio of clients
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive and commercially minded approach
CA qualification or working towards CA is advantageous
