FinXL is seeking a ServiceNow Lead Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Banking client on a 12 months contract in Sydney CBD. This position combines hands-on expertise with engineering leadership to drive HR digital transformation across an enterprise environment. You will serve as the hands-on architectural anchor for human resources technology solutions, shaping platform direction while embedding best practices and embedding AI-driven capabilities to optimize global employee experience. ServiceNow HRSD, JavaScript and web services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end enterprise ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions aligned with corporate HR strategy.
• Define engineering patterns, code standards, and platform governance across the delivery team.
• Drive the adoption of AI-driven capabilities and intelligent automation to streamline complex employee workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain robust, secure enterprise integrations using REST and SOAP web services.
• Partner with senior technology and HR leadership to translate complex business needs into scalable technical designs.

Key Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions, with deep expertise in HRSD.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and core ServiceNow development, with a track record of setting architecture standards.
• Strong technical experience engineering complex system integrations leveraging REST and SOAP protocols.
• Demonstrated exposure to incorporating AI tools and automated workflows to increase engineering and operational efficiency.
• Proven technical leadership experience, with the capability to influence technical roadmap and challenge traditional methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture principles, security compliance, and data governance standards.
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills with a strong strategic mindset and problem-solving drive.

Engagement Details

• 12 months contract with a Banking client.
• Hybrid working model with 3 fixed days/ week in the office in Sydney CBD.
