About the role
Join our Home-Based Early Learning Service Team as a Visiting Teacher. This role involves providing professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators. Visiting Teachers provide support and guidance to our group of home-based Educators, Nannies and Au Pairs, delivering excellent early learning outcomes for our Tamariki and whanau.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and support to in-home Educators
- Support and guide home-based Educators, Nannies and Au Pairs
- Travel around the Marlborough/Nelson regions to support Educators and team
- Lead adults, including mentoring and coaching
- Work with learning stories and programme planning
- Manage administration tasks
- Build and maintain professional relationships
About you
- Early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching)
- Current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate
- Experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching
- Full clean NZ driver's license
- Knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education
- Understanding of Ministry of Education legislation
- Ability to juggle a varied workload
- Excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with learning stories, programme planning and administration
- Good computer skills
- Experience in home-based childcare an advantage
