We are on the hunt for a Working Foreman. Immediate start available!

We are looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to lead a small crew of 2–4 staff across varied civil and basic carpentry projects. You will be on the tools, travelling between sites, and working closely with the Director to deliver jobs safely, on time and within budget.

The work includes excavation and machine operating, asphalt, set-outs, reinstatement work, retaining walls, timber and block walls. We are after a confident leader who takes pride in their work, communicates well with the team and clients, and can guide, train and upskill the crew.

Hours - 7:30am to 4pm (nightshift/weekend work required on occasion)


Our requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience leading a team/teams

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the civil industry

  • Must hold a valid class 1 license (manual preferred) and W T R Endorsements

  • Have a solid understanding of carpentry/structures

  • Confident using power tools and working with plans

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Computer/Tech Savvy - (Simpro preferred but not essential)


Preferred but not essential:

  • Class 2/4 license

  • First Aid ticket

  • Experience with Simpro


What we can offer:

  • $40 - $50 per hour + holiday pay + kiwisaver

  • Work vehicle provided to travel between sites

  • This is a temp to permanent position (If successful you would move to a salary)
