The Role:
Working across industrial manufacturing, processing and heavy industry environments, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installing, maintaining and upgrading industrial electrical systems
Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical and control systems
Preventative and reactive maintenance across industrial facilities
Electrical installation works for new projects and plant upgrades
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
Working with motors, drives, switchboards and control systems
Instrumentation installation, calibration and commissioning
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards
Collaborating closely with workshop, engineering and project teams
Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
Projects:
You will have exposure to a variety of industrial and engineering projects including:
Manufacturing facilities
Food and beverage processing plants
Water and wastewater infrastructure
Industrial automation and control systems
Processing and production facilities
Plant shutdowns and maintenance programs
Capital equipment installations
Electrical upgrades and modernisation projects
Industrial machinery commissioning
Long-term maintenance contracts with repeat clients
About You:
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
Electrical Trade Qualification with current Electrical Licence
Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician within manufacturing, processing, maintenance or heavy industry environments
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
Experience working with motors, VSDs, PLC-controlled equipment and industrial control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Strong understanding of workplace safety and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
