Regional Manager – South Island

ACSL Group delivers electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing services across New Zealand. We’re looking for a Regional Manager based in Christchurch to lead and grow our South Island operations across projects and facilities maintenance.
You’ll need to know the industry, have established connections and be able to turn relationships into opportunities. Alongside developing the business, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day delivery, lead our regional team and ensure our clients’ buildings and services are well maintained.
About the role
Maintain and grow ACSL’s South Island presence through established industry connections, strong client relationships and repeat business.
Build relationships with property owners, facilities managers, main contractors and consultants.
Secure and manage facilities maintenance contracts, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and minor works.
Oversee maintenance schedules, technician allocation, subcontractors and response times to meet client requirements.
Manage regional projects from pricing and planning through to delivery and close-out.
Lead and support project managers, supervisors and tradespeople.
Monitor budgets, margins, quotations, variations and invoicing.
Ensure work is completed safely, to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
Keep clients informed and resolve operational issues promptly.
Work closely with senior management to plan regional growth, staffing and resources.
About you
We’re looking for someone already established in the building services, trade contracting or facilities maintenance industry who understands how to win work and deliver it well.
You’ll bring:
Relevant industry experience and an established network of contacts in Christchurch and the wider South Island.
Proven experience developing business and maintaining strong client relationships.
Experience running facilities maintenance operations, including planned and reactive work across multiple sites.
A sound understanding of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing services, with a trade or technical background in a relevant discipline.
Strong commercial skills, including pricing, contract management and financial performance.
Experience leading teams and coordinating subcontractors across multiple jobs.
A practical approach, clear communication and the confidence to take ownership.
A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the South Island.
