Position description: Join Jindal Ferrous Limited's Blast Furnace Mechanical Department as an entry-level engineer, where you will contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of blast furnace equipment critical to our mining and metals production processes. This role involves hands-on mechanical engineering tasks, supporting senior engineers in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of blast furnace machinery. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of blast furnace mechanical systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for critical blast furnace equipment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot mechanical failures and develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor equipment performance data and report anomalies to the maintenance team for timely intervention.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical components and systems within the blast furnace department.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all mechanical operations and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and technical reports.
- Assist in coordinating with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of necessary spare parts and tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
- Support training programs for operational staff on mechanical system awareness and safety practices.
